His legal practice encompasses a broad range of sectors including energy and infrastructure, real estate and construction, F&B and hospitality, banking, and capital market. Chan Hong graduated from Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, with an LLB followed by an LL.M. Since 2016, he has worked in many ASEAN countries, namely Malaysia and Cambodia. He is a Barrister-at-law of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, Bar of England and Wales.

An outstanding case in his career path is representing and negotiating a successful settlement on behalf of a Chinese state-owned construction company on a US$50 million construction dispute.

• A Chinese bank: Advising up to US$300 million credit facilities and conducting due diligence on a Chinese state-owned IPP’s 150 MW hydropower plant development in Cambodia.
• A Chinese state-owned IPP: Advising on regulatory compliance, environmental and water disaster risk management of a 194 MW hydropower plant in Cambodia.
• A Chinese state-owned construction company: Advising and representing on the negotiation for settlement of a construction dispute with the project owner in respect of a mix-used building located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia which was implemented under FIDIC Redbook.
• A French-owned F&B company: Advising on share acquisition and conducting due diligence on an airport F&B concessionaire in Cambodia.
• A French luxury hospitality company: Advising on transaction structuring and implementation of sale of a 5-star resort in Cambodia.
